This was our 2nd visit at Momiji. We went early for dinner (5pm) on a rainy dark Wednesday evening. The restaurant was very clean & inviting. I like how warm & cozy it feels. Staff was friendly & attentive. Within the hour the tables were all occupied. Looks like a local hot-spot.
Our dinner was good. The miso was very good. Rolls tasty and fresh. Yam tempura was a generous serving and crispy & delish. Ebi gyoza was nice. To cap our meal we shared the "cookies & banana a la mode" and we were delighted! It was outstanding!
Prices are decent. I feel the quality of the food is above average. The service is excellent and their tea is also a treasure.
We will return. -

Good lunch spot on the weekend. I took my daughter here after a soccer game. Parking in the front lot is tight but there is parking underneath too.
There were lunch specials that were reasonably priced and good value. There were a number of special rolls as well. I had the Dynamite Combo which was good - above average for a sushi place. I also tried the Momiji Island special - which was spicy scallops wrapped in torched salmon. It was tasty with a hit of smokiness and a hint of spice. There were only three pieces, so size wise a little small. My daughter had a chicken teriyaki (which had no egg in the coating of the chicken, which was great as she has an allergy) and kappa Maki.
Staff were friendly and kind. Good spot for lunch, good value, and I would probably go back if we had a hankering for sushi in the part of North Van. -

The best dish is Momiji Island. Fresh scallops wrapped with sashimi!! Very delicious. They have good taste of deco and dish out display. Non of my order is boring. The sauce on the top is light weight and not covers the seafood taste. I enjoyed this place very very much!
Servers took care of us well, refilled our tea before it's empty. Take away plates and put more on. Excellent service! -

I had the sake don with Atlantic salmon and the crunchy dynamite roll. The sake don was very filling and the salmon was quite fresh. The roll had a nice combination of flavors. Good portions, fast service. Very reasonable prices (about 60 CAD with tax and tip for 4 of us).
